Telehealth Services Program The Village of Algonquin has approved a new telehealth services program that provides residents with convenient access to licensed healthcare providers through MD Health Pathways. A $6.00 monthly fee will appear as a separate line item on residential utility bills. All households are automatically enrolled, with the option to opt out at any time.
Art on the Fox Returns September 6 & 7 Mark your calendars for September 6 and 7 as Art on the Fox returns to Old Town Algonquin! Held on South Main Street (between IL Route 62 and Madison Street), this free cultural event features artists from across the region, live entertainment, and food and beverages from local restaurants. Don’t miss Encore on the Fox, a special live music performance from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on September 6.
Groot Services Overview The 2025 Groot Services Overview has been mailed to residential customers. New refuse sticker and cart rates took effect September 1. Stickers previously purchased will continue to be accepted.
Summer Concert Series Finale – September 11 Join us at Towne Park on Thursday, September 11, for the final performance in this year’s Summer Concert Series featuring Semple Band. The concert will take place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., with food vendors beginning service at 5:00 p.m. Enjoy great music and delicious food as we close out the summer season.
Fall Hydrant Flushing Underway Routine hydrant flushing will begin on September 2 to ensure proper operation and maintain water quality. Temporary water discoloration or pressure changes may occur during this essential maintenance process.
It’s Our Fox River Day – September 20 Join us at Cornish Park on Saturday, September 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to help clean up the Fox River riverbank. Part of a regional effort led by Friends of the Fox River, this event promotes environmental stewardship and community pride. Please dress for outdoor conditions and bring work gloves; disposal bags will be provided.
Back-to-School Safety Reminders As the school year begins, drivers are reminded to stay alert and follow school zone laws. The Algonquin Police Department encourages all motorists to review and practice safe driving habits to help keep students safe.
Kite Fest Takes Flight on September 28 Soar into fall at Algonquin’s Kite Fest on September 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Spella Park! Enjoy professional stunt kite demonstrations, giant kite displays, a fly-your-own-kite area, live music, food vendors, and family-friendly fun.
