About This Location
Established in 1853 by Samuel Edwards, the Algonquin Cemetery has served the community for more than 170 years. Today, the nine-acre municipal cemetery includes more than 6,000 platted gravesites and a 96-crypt mausoleum, added in 1955 following the acquisition of additional land in 1923. In 2025, the Village introduced the Columbarium Garden, continuing its commitment to providing thoughtful, respectful, and dignified memorial spaces for generations.
