Algonquin Approves Telehealth Program to Improve Access to Care Algonquin has approved Text a Physician (TAP), an optional program that lets households connect with licensed medical professionals by text or phone. Designed for simple illnesses and common conditions, TAP will expand access to convenient healthcare options for residents.
Free Leaf and Brush Collection Groot will provide free leaf and brush collection for all residents from the first pickup in October through December 12 on your regular collection day. Program details are available by clicking below.
Algonquin Completes Lead Line Replacements Ahead of Schedule Algonquin has finished its Lead Service Line Replacement Program nearly 20 years early, ensuring safe and reliable drinking water for residents. The Village met its 2042 deadline decades in advance, delivering on its commitment to dependable water service.
Help Create Safer Routes to Algonquin Lakes Elementary The Village is applying for IDOT Safe Routes to School funding to support a pedestrian crossing project at Compton Drive and Lake Gillian Way. Parents, teachers, and caregivers are encouraged to complete short surveys to strengthen the application and improve safety.
Tunbridge Park Reopens with New Playground Tunbridge Park has officially reopened with a brand-new playground, shaded pavilion, improved sidewalk access, and a new drinking fountain with a bottle filler and dog bowl. Families are invited to stop by and enjoy the upgraded features!
Algonquin Community Survey Now in the Mail Randomly selected households are receiving the Algonquin Community Survey in the mail this month. Participants have through October to complete it online or by mail, and your feedback will help shape Village priorities and services.

Algonquin Comprehensive Plan: Community Open House - October 14 The Village invites residents, property owners, and stakeholders to help shape Algonquin’s new Comprehensive Plan. Attend the Community Open House on October 14, 2025, from 6:00–7:15 p.m. at Village Hall to review the draft plan and share your feedback before the adoption process begins.
Public Works Open House & Facility Tour – October 25 Join us at the Public Works Facility (110 Mitchard Way) on Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. for a behind-the-scenes tour of Village operations. Open to residents ages 18 and older, with a $15 fee and advance registration required.
Overnight Parking Restrictions Begin October 31 Starting October 31, residents who need to park on the street overnight must complete the Overnight Parking Request Form. Please note there may be restrictions on these requests.
