Telehealth Services Program

The Village of Algonquin has launched a new telehealth service to improve healthcare access for residents, following approval at the September 2, 2025, Village Board meeting. The program was shaped by public input, including a public hearing held on August 19, 2025.

In response to community feedback, the Village Board secured a free trial period. All households—including those who previously opted out—can try the service at no cost. This gives everyone a chance to experience the program before deciding whether to continue or opt out.

The program offers virtual access to licensed providers through Tap Telehealth. There are no visit fees, copays, or insurance requirements—and service is unlimited.

Telehealth Program Overview

How Does the Program Work?

The telehealth program makes it easy for residents to connect with a licensed physician for everyday, non-emergency care. All residential water/sewer utility account holders are automatically enrolled, with the option to opt out at any time.

  • Text 214-305-8513 to speak with a physician between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
  • Get advice, treatment plans, or prescriptions for common conditions like colds, rashes, stomach issues, and more.
  • No copays, deductibles, or insurance required—service is unlimited for all enrolled households.
  • A $6.00 monthly fee appears on residential utility bills. The trial period allows all households to use the program for free before deciding to continue or opt out.
