The Village offers competitive salaries and annual merit increases based on performance. In addition, a generous package of health and dental insurance, life insurance, holidays, vacation, personal time, and sick pay are offered to our full-time employees.
Health, Dental, and Life Insurance is available to all eligible employees. The Village contributes a generous portion of the health and dental premiums for employees and their families. Also provided to each eligible employee at no cost is a $50,000 life insurance policy. Employees also have the option to enroll into an additional medical insurance program.
Flexible Spending Accounts (Section 125)
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are an excellent way to set aside pre-tax funds to pay for non-reimbursed medical/dental expenses and child/day care expenses. This is a voluntary program for our employees and their health insurance premiums can also be deducted pre-tax through this program.
As a municipal entity, all employees working in excess of 1,000 hours per year participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension plan, while Police Officers are included in the Police Pension Plan. The Village also offers tax-deferred 457 Plans that employees may use to supplement their retirement.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
This is a confidential counseling and resource program available to our employees and their family members to assist in resolving problems that may be affecting their personal lives or their job performance. This is a no-cost service for our employees unless they are referred to a specialist.
