From the intersection of Main Street and Algonquin Road, go south on Main Street. At Washington Street take a right, this street will end into the parking lot for the park.
About This Location
Towne Park is a 12 acre park hidden in the heart of Algonquin. A dense tree line sequesters the park from the outside village. Before even entering the park one has to cross a footbridge across a babbling brook. Once there Towne Park has everything you could need for a relaxing day outside: large fields for team sports, a baseball diamond, a large shelter and picnic tables, an all wooden playground in the shape of a castle, and basketball courts. It even has restrooms. Located right down town off of Main Street, food isn't far away either.
The pavilion/picnic shelter is available to be reserved for large parties.
Restroom facilities at this location are open from approximately May 1 to October 15 (weather dependent) of each year.
