About This Location
Riverfront Park in Algonquin spans 2 acres of active park space along the scenic Fox River, offering a peaceful setting with benches, picnic areas, a gazebo, and walking paths. These paths connect to additional amenities in Old Town Algonquin, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
The Village of Algonquin received an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant in 1999 from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to help develop this park facility.
Please note that the park operates from dawn to dusk, and actual opening and closing times may vary slightly based on the time of year.
