COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Vaccination Information
Safe and effective vaccination efforts vital to reduce the number of illnesses, hospitalizations, and deaths resulting from COVID-19 have begun in Illinois. The Illinois Department of Public Health has implemented a vaccination plan, in accordance with the Restore Illinois plan, and is currently administering vaccination distribution phases 1A and 1B.

Algonquin-Cary Subarea Plan Virtual Open House
The villages of Algonquin and Cary, in partnership with CMAP, will hold a month-long virtual open house throughout February to share and collect community feedback on a draft plan for mining sites along Route 31 and the surrounding area.

Now Hiring: Community Development Director
The Village of Algonquin is seeking applicants for the position of Community Development Director. This full-time Community Development position reports to the Village Manager and is responsible for continuing the revitalization of the village’s old town district, enhancing thriving commercial districts, promoting the Algonquin Corporate Campus, and maintaining beautiful tree-lined residential subdivisions. 2020 Algonquin Community Survey Results
The Algonquin Village Board recently reviewed the results from the 2020 Algonquin Community Survey. This is the eighth year the survey has been administered, asking residents for their input on quality of life factors in Algonquin as well as rating the quality and importance of municipal services. 2021 Snowman Photo Contest
Build the best snowman in town this year! Get your family together and make a snowman during one of this year’s snowfalls. After you have built your snowman, stand next to it and have someone take a picture. Submit photos to (electronic photos only). Photos are due by March 8, 2021. Sledding and Ice Skating in Algonquin
Now that snow has fallen and the temperatures are dropping, residents and visitors are beginning to enjoy winter activities in Algonquin. Sledding hills are available at Braewood Park, High Hill Park, and Spella Park. The Village also offers a seasonal outdoor ice rink near Snapper's Field. Sidewalk Snow Removal
As the snow begins to fall, the Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of their responsibility to remove snow and ice accumulating on the abutting sidewalks within 24 hours after any snowfall has ceased.

Winter Parking Regulations
Winter parking regulations are in effect between October 31 and April 15 each year. Overnight street parking requests may be submitted online. Click the link below for additional details.

2021 Calendar and Annual Report Now Available
The 2021 Calendar and Annual Report for the Village of Algonquin is now available. Residents can expect to receive their calendar this month.

Algonquin Earns Budget Award

Parkway Tree Trimming Schedule
The Village of Algonquin will be performing parkway tree trimming starting in December through March 2021 in the general area from Woods Creek Lane west to the Village limits and Riverwood Drive east to the Village limits.
