Refuse & Yard Waste Rates to Decrease
Effective September 1, 2019, Groot refuse & yard waste services will decrease, as a result of the renegotiated rate schedule. Click "more" for a list of Groot's services and the rate schedule. Please be advised that any stickers purchased prior to the rate decrease WILL be honored after the price drop.

Sleepy Hollow Road Construction
Construction on Sleepy Hollow Road will continue, with crews beginning Stage 2 of the project. Construction that took place during Stage 1 from Wynnfield Drive to Longmeadow Parkway is open to traffic, with detours occurring at Sleepy Hollow and County Line, as well from Longmeadow to Grandview. The Algonquin Recreation Fall Brochure is now available online. Registration for Fall 2019 Recreation programs will open on August 5.

National Night Out - August 6
National Night Out 2019 will be held on Tuesday, August 6. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. This event, at Lions-Armstrong Memorial Pool will have no cost to attend and feature this year's first Flick n' Float.

Randall Road Construction
The Randall Road construction project is currently 9% complete. Traffic staging as the project progresses will continue. Please exercise caution when driving through the work areas. To sign up for project updates or check on the status of Randall Road, please click below.

Old Town Algonquin Construction
The Old Town Algonquin construction is in progress. Recently, crews placed the concrete deck on the Main Street bridge over Crystal Creek. Local shops are restaurant are open for business. Click "more" to stay up to date on the progress of the project.

Algonquin Summer Concerts
Come join us at Towne Park to wrap up the 2019 concert season with live music from Spoken Four on August 1 and The Millennials on August 8.

Online Tree Replacement Information - New!
Recently, the Village launched an online tool for residents to check on the status of parkway trees with active work orders. Visitors of the site can search by address on the map and see the current status of parkway trees. To view the map, click "more."

Algonquin Receives Funding for Old Town Utilities Project
The Village of Algonquin has received funding for water and sanitary sewer improvements on North Harrison Street through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF). For additional information, click the link below.

The Algonquin Citizen: Summer 2019 Newsletter
The Summer 2019 edition of The Algonquin Citizen newsletter is now available online. This document was mailed to Algonquin residents with their June water utility bills.

Algonquin Named Tree City USA
The Arbor Day Foundation announced that the Village of Algonquin is again named a Tree City USA community for its commitment to effective forest management. This is the 23rd year in which Algonquin has received this designation.

Water Meter Replacement Program
The Village of Algonquin is 61 percent complete replacing residential and commercial water meters Village-wide through United Meters, Inc. On average, the existing mechanical meters are nearing or exceeding their expected service life. The new meters will replace these units with new technology; offering enhanced efficiency and streamlined meter readings. For a complete overview of the program, please click "more".

2018 Water Quality Report
The 2018 Annual Water Quality Report is now available! The Consumer Confidence Report, or CCR, is an annual water quality report that the Safe Drinking Water Act requires a community water system to provide to its customers. Click "more" to see this important report.
