2019 Calendar and Annual Report Now Available
Happy New Year! The Village of Algonquin 2019 Calendar and Annual Report is now available online. The document was mailed to Algonquin residential households at the end of December.

Christmas Tree Collection
Groot will collect Christmas trees at no charge on your normal collection day throughout the month of January.

Randall Road Construction Update
Construction on the retaining wall north of Harnish Drive on the east side of Randall Road is scheduled to begin January. Click "more" for additional project information. Additionally, please travel through the work zone with caution.

Old Town Algonquin Redevelopment Update
Main Street bridge over Crystal Creek will partially reopen to traffic. Drivers traveling southbound will access Main Street from Algonquin Road. The northbound lanes over the bridge remain closed in preparation of AT&T utility relocation work beginning in 2019. Two-way traffic will be allowed between Washington Street and the Bypass with northbound traffic detoured to Harrison Street at Washington Street. The temporary detour exit ramp will be closed to traffic during this phase. Click below for project updates.

Algonquin Freezes Property Tax Levy
The Algonquin Village Board unanimously approved freezing the current property tax levy for the 2018 tax year, keeping 2019 property taxes below 2008 levels. Click below for additional details.

Holiday Lights Collection
The Village of Algonquin will offer holiday light recycling through January 21 at Ganek Municipal Center, 2200 Harnish Drive. Most holiday lights will be accepted; please refrain from dropping off household lights. Details available by clicking below.

Parkway Tree Trimming
Crews will be performing parkway tree trimming during the winter months in certain Algonquin neighborhoods. Please view the map below for a current status of the project.

Winter Parking Regulations
Winter parking regulations are in effect between October 31 and April 15 of each year. Overnight street parking requests may be submitted online.

Sidewalk Snow Removal
As the snow begins to fall, the Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of their responsibility to remove snow and ice accumulating on the abutting sidewalks within 24 hours after any snowfall has ceased.

Winter/Spring Recreation Brochure Now Online
The 2018-2019 Winter/Spring Recreation Brochure for the Village of Algonquin is available online. Click below to see the entire offering of recreation programs this winter and spring.

2019 Snowman Photo Contest
Build the best snowman in town this coming year, take a picture, and submit it for our 2019 Snowman Photo contest, winners will be published in a future recreation guide and on our website.
