Free Leaf and Brush Collection Begins October 1
Free leaf collection by Groot will begin on October 1 for Algonquin residents and will continue through December 15. Program details are available by clicking "more".

Trick-Or-Treat Hours
Happy Halloween! Trick-or-treating hours in the Village of Algonquin are from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 31.

Longmeadow Parkway Construction
Work continues on the second stage of the Longmeadow Parkway project between Randall Road and Karen Drive in Algonquin. Daytime lane closures on Longmeadow Parkway will be occurring frequently over the next several weeks.

Village Offices Closed - October 9
The Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility in Algonquin will be closed on Monday October 9, in observance of Columbus Day. Groot refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection will not be effected.

Winter Parking Regulations
Winter parking regulations are in effect between October 31 and April 15 of each year.

Algonquin Recognized for Performance Management
The Village of Algonquin has been recognized for its performance management efforts with a Certificate of Achievement from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Center for Performance Analytics. Click "more" for details on why Algonquin was selected.

Fall Hydrant Flushing Schedule
As a regular maintenance practice, the Village of Algonquin Utilities Division flushes all fire hydrants throughout the Village twice a year. Fall hydrant flushing is scheduled this year from September 18 through October 27. To see what areas will be affected when, click "more"

Water/Sewer Rate Increase: November 2017
Effective November 2017, there will be an increase in water and sewer utility rates to fund the increased capital costs of $22.8 million over the next six Fiscal Years to provide safe and environmentally sound water and sewer services. Click "more" for details.

Village Code Reminders
As the leaves begin to fall, The Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of Section 5.06 of the Municipal Code which prohibits anyone from raking leaves into any public street area.
