Art on the Fox Returns Art on the Fox will take place September 10 & 11 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Old Town Algonquin (South Main Street between IL Rte. 62 and Madison Street). This is a free cultural event hosting artists from near and far, as well as live entertainment. Food and beverages will be sold by local restaurants. We hope to see you there!
Village Offices Closed September 5 for Labor Day The Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility in Algonquin will be closed on Monday, September 5, in observance of the holiday. Groot refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day for the entire week.
High Hill Subdivision Improvement Project Subdivision improvements are underway in the High Hill Subdivision. Roadways will be resurfaced, as well as other improvements, in the area as part of this project. Construction is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2022, weather permitting. Learn more below.
Groot Services Overview Flyer The 2022 Groot Services Overview flyer for Algonquin residential customers was delivered this month and is available online. New sticker and cart prices for Groot services go into effect September 1. Stickers previously purchased will continue to be honored.
Free Fall Brush Collection begins in October Free leaf and brush collection, provided by Groot, will take place on days of regular collection between October 1 and December 15. Program details are available by clicking "more".

Fall Hydrant Flushing Schedule Hydrant flushing is scheduled to begin September 6 and continue through October 28. This exercise ensures proper operation of each hydrant and improves overall water quality. Residents may experience temporary losses of water pressure or notice water discoloration during this time.
