Algonquin Road (IL Rte. 62) and Randall Road Resurfacing
Beginning in May, the McHenry County Division of Transportation will begin to resurface segments of Algonquin Road (IL Rte. 62) east of Randall Road to the IL Rte. 31 Western Bypass. The resurfacing project will also include segments west of Randall Road continuing until the intersection with IL Rte. 47 in Huntley. A segment of Randall Road from County Line Road to Harnish Road will also be resurfaced. Additional details can be found at the link below.

Algonquin Named Tree City USA
The Village of Algonquin has been named a Tree City USA community by the Arbor Day Foundation for its continued commitment to effective urban forest management. This yearís recognition marks the 26th consecutive year Algonquin has received this designation.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event June 25
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the McHenry County Department of Health are hosting a free household hazardous waste collection event in McHenry County on Saturday, June 25, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Prairie Ridge High School in Crystal Lake. The Village of Algonquin is pleased to invite you and your family to this year's Algonquin Summer Concerts! Concerts are held weekly on Thursday evenings at Towne Park 100 S. Jefferson St. and begin at 7:00 PM. The first concert will be held on June 16. See the full lineup by clicking below.

Picking Up After Your Pet Keeps Our Community Clean!
Waste from your pet contains fecal coliform bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli. Water that contacts waste before entering the ground carries these pathogens into our groundwater. Additionally, these harmful bacteria can come into contact with people and pets from surfaces where waste or water carrying these bacteria have touched.

Water Conservation Regulations
The Village of Algonquin continues to take a proactive role in the conservation of water. The overall goal of the water conservation program is to educate residents and businesses about the ease of conserving water and the importance of conservation.
