Picking Up After Your Pet Keeps Our Community Clean!
Waste from your pet contains fecal coliform bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli. Water that contacts waste before entering the ground carries these pathogens into our groundwater. Additionally, these harmful bacteria can come into contact with people and pets from surfaces where waste or water carrying these bacteria have touched.
