Spring Cleanup Information The Village of Algonquin, in partnership with Groot, will once again sponsor a community-wide Spring Cleanup for single-family homes and townhomes receiving residential refuse and recycling services. If your regular pickup is on Thursday, your Spring Cleanup will be held on April 26. For those with Friday service, cleanup will take place on May 3. Click below for full details.

Free Leaf and Brush Collection Begins April 10 Groot and the Village will offer free leaf and brush collection beginning the week of April 11 and continuing through April 25. Loose yard waste should be placed in paper bags or reusable containers marked with a red “X.” Branches and brush must be bundled according to program guidelines. Join Us for the Algonquin Egg Hunt April 12 Mark your calendar for the Algonquin Egg Hunt on Friday, April 12, at 10:00 a.m. This year’s event will be held at Algonquin Lakes Park due to ongoing construction at Towne Park. Arrive early at 9:30 a.m. to see the Bunny arrive and to allow time for parking. A designated area will be available for those needing special assistance.

Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 The proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 is available for public viewing at the Ganek Municipal Center during regular business hours and online at the link below. A public hearing was held on March 18, and the Village Board is scheduled to vote on the budget on April 15.
Cemetery Spring Cleanup Spring Cleanup at the Algonquin Cemetery will take place on April 7. Please remove all winter decorations before this date. Spring and summer decorations may be placed in the cemetery beginning April 26.
