The Village of Algonquin is excited to announce the launch of a project to update the Village’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The updated plan will serve as the Village’s official guide for future growth, land use, and development for the next two decades.

The Comprehensive Land Use Plan is a crucial roadmap that will guide the community towards achieving its long-term development objectives. Last updated in 2008, the plan will cover a broad range of topics including land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, community facilities, and environmental sustainability. By addressing these issues, the updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan will help the Village of Algonquin make informed policy decisions and set the course for future development.

“A comprehensive land use plan is essential for any community's future,” said Village President Debby Sosine. “The plan will serve as a roadmap that guides decision-making to achieve our long-term goals for future development and ensure that we are meeting the needs of our residents and businesses."
