i3 Broadband is installing its fiber-optic network throughout the Village of Algonquin to bring high-speed internet service to residents and businesses. Work is being completed in phases across the community, with most remaining construction in 2025 taking place in neighborhoods located between Randall Road, Illinois Route 62 (Algonquin Road), Illinois Route 31, and Longmeadow Parkway.

What to Expect

• Residents will receive advance notice from i3 Broadband before construction begins in their neighborhood, typically through door hangers.

• Construction crews may temporarily access public rights-of-way or utility easements to install conduit and fiber.

• Work zones will be clearly marked, and crews are required to follow all Village codes and restoration requirements.

• Any disturbed areas (lawns, parkways, sidewalks, or driveways) will be restored to their original condition before permits are closed.

Please use caution when traveling near active work zones.

Utility providers such as i3 Broadband install infrastructure within public rights-of-way and utility easements, as permitted under state and federal law. The Village works with these companies to ensure projects meet local standards and that all areas are restored upon completion.
