• The owner shall notify all utilities having service connections within the structure, such as water, sewer, electrical, gas, telephone, and other similar connections.
• All utility service connections and appurtenant equipment, such as meters and regulators shall be removed prior to demolition. Water and Sewer services shall be disconnected from the main line by physically removing the connection at the main and repairing the ancillary damage to the main line by a method accepted and approved by the Public Works Director.
• Written notice shall be given by the applicant, to owner(s) of the adjacent lots and to owner(s) of facilities whose utility service may be interrupted due to the temporary removal of services necessitated by the proposed work.
• An inspection of the structure and/or site shall be conducted by the code official, not less than 24 hours prior to demolition to verify compliance with applicable codes.
• The code official shall have the authority to enter the structure or premises, for which the permit has been issued, at any reasonable time.
• An approved physical barrier shall be installed around the structure/site to prevent access of unauthorized personnel.
• The premises/site shall be maintained free from all unsafe or hazardous conditions. Under no circumstance shall waste material be permitted to remain on Village right of way or adjoining properties.
• The demolition for which the permit is issued shall begin within six (6) months of the issue date. The demolition shall be completed, all waste material removed, any excavation filled to established grade, and the landscape restored within thirty (30) days of initial demolition work.
