The Village of Algonquin, IL

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is conducting pavement patching and grinding along the Western Algonquin Bypass (IL Route 31) from North Main Street to South Main Street to improve roadway conditions and extend pavement life.

Work is scheduled to continue through the end of November 2025, weather permitting. During construction, lane reductions and intermittent overnight closures will occur. Motorists should expect delays, allow extra travel time, and use caution while driving through the work zone.
