Village Construction Projects - In Construction - Canterbury Townhomes Subdivision Improvements
The Village of Algonquin is expected to begin the Canterbury Townhomes Subdivision and Pavement Management Improvements project in Summer 2025, with completion anticipated by Fall 2025, weather permitting.
This project will include:
- Replacement of the asphalt roadway surface for a smoother commute
- Replacement of an aging multi-use path, updates to sidewalks, ADA ramps, and curbs
- Pavement patching within the Manchester Lakes and Alta Vista Subdivisions
- Completion of the remaining section of the aging multi-use path on Hanson Road from Edgewood Drive to Huntington Road
Project Area:
Complete roadway resurfacing will take place in the 1.4-mile Canterbury Townhomes subdivision located between County Line Road and Corporate Parkway. Pavement patching in the Manchester Lakes and Alta Vista Subdivisions will help extend the life of the existing pavement until full improvements can be funded. The remainder of the Hanson Road multi-use path will also be replaced for improved rideability and walkability. This project will utilize Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) funds from the State of Illinois.
