The Village of Algonquin, IL

The Village of Algonquin continues to prioritize its parks and park facilities. The tennis and basketball courts at Spella Park are due for replacement. Construction is expected to begin in late spring/early summer of 2025, with completion anticipated in early Fall 2025, weather permitting.

This project will include:

• Complete replacement of the existing tennis court and fence to provide one full-size tennis court and two pickleball courts

• Added sidewalk and benches along the west side of the tennis/pickleball courts

• Full-court basketball court to replace the circular partial court, complete with new hoops and striping

Access During Construction:
The courts at Spella Park will be closed during construction, but the playground and open space will remain open.
