Village Construction Projects - Planned Projects - Canterbury Townhomes Subdivision Improvements
The Village of Algonquin is expected to begin the Canterbury Townhomes Subdivision and Pavement Management Improvements project in Summer 2025. The work is expected to be completed by Fall 2025, weather permitting.
This project will include:
Replacement of the asphalt roadway surface for a smoother commute
Replacement of an aging multi-use path updates to sidewalks, ADA ramps, and curbs.
As part of this project, pavement patching will occur within the Manchester Lakes and Alta Vista Subdivisions.
Additionally, the remaining replacement of the aging multi-use path on Hanson Road from Edgewood Drive to Huntington Road will be completed.
Project Area:
Complete roadway resurfacing will take place in the 1.4-mile subdivision of Canterbury Townhomes located between County Line Road and Corporate Parkway. Pavement patching in the Manchester Lakes and Alta Vista Subdivisions will help extend the life of the existing pavement until funding is available to complete improvements within each subdivision. The remainder of the Hanson Road multi-use path will be replaced for better rideability and walkability. This project will utilize Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) from the State of Illinois to complete this year.
