Algonquin Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will provide the public the opportunity to rid their homes of unneeded medications, those that are old, unwanted, or expired, that too often become a gateway to addition.
The Algonquin Police Department will be accepting your unwanted medication in the lobby of the police department 2200 Harnish Drive (entrance off of Stonegate Road).
Capsules, tablets, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted. Syringes, sharps, or illicit drugs will not be accepted.
Vape pens or other e-cigarette devices will be collected, but only after the batteries have been removed.
A drop-off box is also available for convenient disposal at any time.
