Event Description:

On Saturday, October 28th, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Algonquin Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, will be hosting a prescription drug take-back event. The aim is to prevent pill abuse and theft by providing a safe method for residents to dispose of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Please bring your pills for disposal to the Algonquin Police Department lobby located at 2200 Harnish Drive (accessible via Stonegate Road entrance). Please note that the disposal sites cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps; they can only accommodate pills or patches. This service is provided free of charge and guarantees anonymity—no questions will be asked.
