HOURS PER WEEK:        Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for the summer season (May - August).

Looking for a hands-on, active job that keeps you moving all summer long? The Village of Algonquin is hiring seasonal maintenance workers to assist with a wide variety of fun and impactful tasks. Whether you're working in parks, streets, or utilities, you'll be gaining valuable experience while keeping your community looking great!

 ✨ General Duties - What's in Store for You? ✨

• Internal Services: Get involved in facility maintenance, including painting, cleaning, and working on special projects at places like the community pool. Use your skills with hand tools and small motorized equipment like drills, saws, and carpet cleaners.
• Parks & Forestry: Be the hero of our green spaces! Help with plant care, restroom and ballfield maintenance, park maintenance and repairs, and downtown beautification. You’ll work with landscape tools, blowers, string trimmers, and more to make our parks shine.
• Streets: Roll up your sleeves and assist with street repairs, pothole patching, sign and sidewalk maintenance, and roadside cleanups. You'll use everything from hand tools to small motorized equipment like tampers, blowers, and string trimmers.
• Utilities: Keep the grounds looking pristine by mowing lawns, cleaning facilities, painting, and even working on tanks. If you love variety, this role will keep you on your toes!

 Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old (18+ preferred for power tool usage)
• Valid driver’s license if you're 18 or older
