The Village of Algonquin, IL

The Village of Algonquin is expected to begin  Section 3 of the Willoughby Farms Subdivision Rehabilitation project in Spring 2026. The work is expected to be completed by Fall 2026, weather permitting.

This project will include:

• Replacement of the asphalt roadway surface for a smoother commute and stabilizing the existing stone base to extend the life of the roadway

• Upgrades to existing sidewalks, ADA ramps, and curbs

• Water main looping on Notting Hill Road for improved reliability and redundancy

• Drainage improvements and environmental enhancements 

Project Area:

The construction will take place in the section of Willoughby Farms Subdivision north of Longmeadow Parkway to Notting Hill Road, east of Sleepy Hollow Road. The roads in this subdivision are approaching 30 years and the proposed improvements are expected to extend the life of the asphalt surface by 20-25 years, while the base should remain structurally sound for nearly 40 years. Water main looping, underground assessments, and drainage improvements will be included in the scope of this project to avoid major underground improvements in the future.
