The Human Resources Department coordinates all Human Resources related activities for the Village of Algonquin.  This includes recruitment, testing, selection, staff development and training, maintenance of the Merit Compensation Program, management of employee benefit programs, policy development and implementation, collective bargaining, and risk management.

New positions are typically added to departmental budgets effective May 1st of each year, with vacancies occasionally arising at other times.
