Trick-or-Treat Hours

Halloween trick-or-treating hours in the Village of Algonquin are from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 31.  Click below for more information and safety tips from the Algonquin Police Department.

Raking Leaves and Fall Brush Collection

Free leaf pickup by Waste Management will begin on October 1 for Algonquin residents and will continue through December 15. There is no collection of yard waste from December 16 through March 2010.

Waste Management Route Changes

Starting on Monday, October 5, Waste Management will operate on a new schedule for its garbage, recycling, and yardwaste collection for residential customers in the Village of Algonquin.  Please click below for the new route details.

Photo Contest Entry Deadline Extended to 10/15

Exploring Algonquin: 2009 Photo Contest will feature photographs of Algonquin as an "involved community." All ages are welcome to participate and demonstrate your photographic talent. The entry deadline has been extended to October 15, 2009.

Fall Cemetery Cleanup

The annual "Fall Cleanup" of the Algonquin Cemetery will begin on Monday, October 26, and will run through Friday, October 30. All summer plantings, wreaths, and other decorations that are not removed before October 26 will be discarded.
