50 in 2010 - Update

Since 2004, the Village, with the help of Waste Management, has been tracking refuse and recycling statistics in the Village. An important indicator the Village tracks is our diversion ratio - the amount of refuse diverted from landfills by recycling.  Our goal for 2010 is to divert 50% of our waste from landfills by recycling. With your help, we can continue to be a regional leader in recycling!

Warm weather is in the air and that means the Downtown Algonquin Farmers Market will be opening for the season!  The market will be held every Thursday starting on May 20, from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm, in the municipal parking lot on South Harrison Street and runs through October 7.
