Longmeadow Parkway Construction Update
The Longmeadow Parkway Corridor from Huntley/Boyer Road to White Chapel Lane is anticipated to be complete and opened to traffic by January 8, 2018 or sooner, weather permitting. Click "more" to access the official update.

Holiday Rock on the Fox
Come celebrate the holiday season with your family and neighbors at the Holiday Rock on the Fox Saturday, December 2, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Riverfront Park.

Breakfast with Santa
Come make a few crafts, play games and tell Santa all about your list at this years breakfast with Santa, Saturday, December 9. Registration closes Monday, December 4.

Free Leaf and Brush Collection
Free leaf collection for Algonquin residents will continue through December 15. Program details are available by clicking "more".

Winter Parking Regulations
Winter parking regulations are in effect between October 31 and April 15 of each year. Overnight street parking requests may be submitted online.

Holiday Mini Yoga Sessions

Village Offices Closed
The Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility in Algonquin will be closed on Monday, December 25, and Tuesday, December 26. Additionally, the Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility in Algonquin will also be closed on Monday, January 1. Click below for Groot refuse and recycling collection information.

McHenry County 2018 - 2022 Transportation Program
The McHenry County 2018-2022 Transportation Program is a financial and planning tool required by State statute to assist with the development of the annual budget and is consistent with the County’s transportation and strategic plan. To view the plan in its entirety, click "more".

Christmas Tree Collection
Groot will collect Christmas trees at no charge on your normal collection day throughout the month of January.

Adopt-A-Hydrant
Algonquin has over 2,200 fire hydrants in need of adoption. By adopting a fire hydrant and keeping it clear of snow you can help to keep the community safer.

Sidewalk Snow Removal
As the snow begins to fall, the Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of their responsibility to remove snow and ice accumulating on the abutting sidewalks within 24 hours after any snowfall has ceased.

2018 Snowman Photo Contest
Build the best snowman in town this coming year, take a picture, and submit it for our 2018 Snowman Photo contest, winners will be published in a future recreation guide and on our website.

Styrofoam Recycling
With the holidays right around the corner, the Village of Algonquin would like to remind you of our Styrofoam collection site at the Public Works Facility, 110 Meyer Drive in Algonquin. If you have Styrofoam you need to recycle, collection at this location is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Click "more" for details.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (Audit) Available Online
The Village of Algonquin's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for fiscal year 2016-2017 is now available online.
