Fireworks - Worth the Risk?
The Algonquin Police Department would like to remind residents that the sale, possession and/or use of fireworks is not only dangerous, but is also a violation of both State law and Village ordinance. Click "more" for the risks associated with violating this ordinance.

Algonquin Founder's Days

Village Offices Closed - July 4
The Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility in Algonquin will be closed on Monday July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Groot refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day for the entire week.

Electric Aggregation Program Suspended
The current electrical aggregation program with the Village's consortium (NIGEAC) expires this month. Residents do not need to take any action; they will automatically be moved back to ComEd at their meter read date in July. Click "more" for more information.

2016 Annual Water Quality Report
The 2016 Annual Water Quality Report is now available! The Consumer Confidence Report, or CCR, is an annual water quality report that the Safe Drinking Water Act requires a community water system to provide to its customers. Click "more" to see this important report.

Village Construction Updates
Construction season has officially arrived! Current projects in Algonquin include work in the Glenmoor Subdivision, Highland Avenue, and Longmeadow Parkway. Click "more" for detailed information about these projects.

FY 17/18 Budget Available Online
On April 4, 2017, the Village Board unanimously approved the Fiscal Year 2017-2018 annual budget for the Village of Algonquin. The Village’s $49.1 million budget is used as a tool to assist Village officials in making sound and rational choices for the provision of public services. The FY 17/18 budget maintains core service levels with continued investment in infrastructure.

Algonquin’s Public Art Exhibit
The Village is seeking artwork submissions as part of its 11th annual community art exhibit. The deadline is August 4 and for an application, click "more" for more information.

The Village of Algonquin is pleased to invite you and your family to the 2017 Algonquin Summer Concerts!
