The Village of Algonquin conducted an analysis in 2014 to evaluate the qualification of an area for establishing a Downtown Tax Increment Finance (TIF) District. Following this analysis, the Algonquin Village Board formally adopted the TIF District on October 8, 2014.
The TIF District aims to promote the revitalization of underutilized properties within the Village while fostering the overall improvement of the Downtown area. This initiative supports economic growth and enhances community spaces, contributing to a vibrant and thriving Algonquin.
