Report Problems Using Algonquin Fix It

Prevent Frozen Water Pipes This Winter
With winter temperatures progressively getting lower, the risk of freezing pipes becomes more prevalent. The Village of Algonquin would like to remind you of preventative measures that should be taken to ensure your home’s plumbing doesn’t burst.

Algonquin Lowers Property Tax Levy
The Algonquin Village Board unanimously approved lowering the current property tax levy for the 2016 tax year at their meeting on December 6. The 2016 property tax levy, which is payable by property owners in 2017, was lowered by 2.3 percent and is below 2008 levels.

2017 Snowman Photo Contest
Build the best snowman in town this coming year, take a picture, and submit it for our 2017 Snowman Photo contest, winners will be published in a future recreation guide and on our website.

Adopt-A-Hydrant Program
Algonquin has over 2,200 fire hydrants in need of adoption. By adopting a fire hydrant and keeping it clear of snow you can help to keep the community safer.

Algonquin Earns Budget Award
The Village of Algonquin has received the GFOA's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2016 - 2017 budget. This is the thirteenth year in a row the Village has received this prestigious award.

Sidewalk Snow Removal
The Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of their responsibility to remove snow and ice accumulating on the abutting sidewalks within 24 hours after any snowfall has ceased

Parkway Tree Trimming
The Village of Algonquin is performing parkway tree trimming through March 2017 in the general area between Randall Road and the Fox River, south of County Line Road and Edgewood Drive. Click below for more details.

Winter Parking Regulations
Parking is prohibited on public streets between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Also, parking is prohibited after any snowfall of 2 inches or greater unless street has been cleared of snow.

Algonquin’s Art on the Fox
The Village of Algonquin Public Arts Commission will be holding its 10th annual Art on the Fox fine art fair Father’s Day weekend, June 17-18, 2017. Business sponsor opportunities are available and artist registration is now open: click below for more information.
