Algonquin Lowers Property Tax Levy
The Algonquin Village Board unanimously approved lowering the current property tax levy for the 2016 tax year at their meeting on December 6. The 2016 property tax levy, which is payable by property owners in 2017, was lowered by 2.3 percent and is below 2008 levels.

The Village of Algonquin 2017 Calendar and Annual Report is now available online, it will be mailed to residents in early January.

Algonquin Earns Budget Award
The Village of Algonquin has received the GFOA's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2016 - 2017 budget. This is the thirteenth year in a row the Village has received this prestigious award.

Parkway Tree Trimming
The Village of Algonquin will be performing parkway tree trimming starting in December 2016 through March 2017 in the general area between Randall Road and the Fox River, south of County Line Road and Edgewood Drive. Click below for more details.
Winter Parking Regulations
Parking is prohibited on public streets between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Also, parking is prohibited after any snowfall of 2 inches or greater unless street has been cleared of snow.
Sidewalk Snow Removal
The Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of their responsibility to remove snow and ice accumulating on the abutting sidewalks within 24 hours after any snowfall has ceased.

Water Use Survey
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) requires every water supplier to develop and implement a comprehensive cross connection control program for the elimination of existing cross connections and prevention or protection from all future cross connections. All Algonquin water customers will receive a survey form in the mail with your January water bill.
