Holiday Rock on the Fox
Come celebrate the holiday season with your family and neighbors at the Holiday Rock on the Fox Saturday, December 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverfront Park.

Holiday Lights Recycling
The Village of Algonquin, in cooperation with Elgin Recycling, will be offering holiday light recycling November 21 through January 19 at Ganek Municipal Center, 2200 Harnish Drive.

Free Leaf and Brush Collection
Free leaf collection by Groot began on October 6 for Algonquin residents and will continue through December 9. Program details are available online.

Winter Parking Regulations
Winter parking regulations are in effect between October 31 and April 15 of each year.

Village Offices Closed
The Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility in Algonquin will be closed on Friday, December 23, Monday, December 26, and Monday January 2. Click below for Groot refuse and recycling collection information.

Adopt-A-Hydrant
Algonquin has over 2,200 fire hydrants in need of adoption. By adopting a fire hydrant and keeping it clear of snow you can help to keep the community safer.

Parkway Tree Trimming
The Village of Algonquin will be performing parkway tree trimming starting in December 2016 through March 2017 in the general area between Randall Road and the Fox River, south of County Line Road and Edgewood Drive. Click below for more details.

Sidewalk Snow Removal
As the snow begins to fall, the Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of their responsibility to remove snow and ice accumulating on the abutting sidewalks within 24 hours after any snowfall has ceased.

Christmas Tree Collection
Groot will collect Christmas trees at no charge on your normal collection day throughout the month of January.

Village of Algonquin Launches New Website
The Village of Algonquin is pleased to announce the launch of its redesigned website www.algonquin.org. The new website features a mobile-friendly design that allows users to easily navigate through the site on their preferred device, be it a smart phone, tablet or desktop computer.

2017 Snowman Photo Contest
Build the best snowman in town this coming year, take a picture, and submit it for our 2017 Snowman Photo contest, winners will be published in a future recreation guide and on our website.
