Voter Information Available for General Election
The General Election is on Tuesday, November 8. Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Click below for information regarding the 2016 General Election.

Water/Sewer Rate Increase: November 2016
Effective November 2016 there will be an increase in water and sewer utility rates to fund the increased capital costs of $22.8 million over the next six Fiscal Years to provide safe and environmentally sound water and sewer services.

Village Offices Closed
The Ganek Municipal Center and the Public Works Facility will be closed on Friday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Groot will operate on their normal collection schedule. Village offices will also be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27 for Thanksgiving. Trash and recycle collection will be delayed by one day.

Free Leaf and Brush Collection
Free leaf collection by Groot will begin on October 6 for Algonquin residents and will continue through December 9. Program details are available online.

Pumpkin Recycling available in Kane and McHenry Counties
Done with your pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, or other organic Halloween decorations? Don't let your left over decorations haunt you, click below for more information on pumpkin composting and recycling in Kane and McHenry Counties.

Winter Parking Regulations
Winter parking regulations are in effect between October 31 and April 15 of each year.

Holiday Lights Recycling
The Village of Algonquin, in cooperation with Elgin Recycling, will be offering holiday light recycling November 21 through January 19 at Ganek Municipal Center, 2200 Harnish Drive.

Harvest Yields 1,400 Pounds of Food Donations
The Village recently concluded the harvest of a garden at its Wastewater Treatment Facility which yielded over 1,400 pounds of vegetables donated to the Algonquin-LITH Food Pantry.

Transform Illinois Honors Algonquin with Local Transformer Award
Algonquin received the 2016 Local Transformer Award for its creative use of innovative intergovernmental agreements with neighbors to deliver better services to residents.

Algonquin Express - Limited Spots Available

Holiday Rock on the Fox
Come celebrate the holiday season with your family and neighbors at the Holiday Rock on the Fox Saturday December 3, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Riverfront Park.

Breakfast with Santa
Come make a few crafts, play games and tell Santa all about your list, at this years breakfast with Santa Saturday December 12. Registration closes Friday, December 2.
