Free Leaf and Brush Collection
Free leaf collection by Groot will begin on October 6 for Algonquin residents and will continue through December 9. Program details are available online.

Trick-Or-Treat Hours
Happy Halloween! Trick-or-treating hours in the Village of Algonquin are from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on October 31.

Harvest Hustle Race Results
The Harvest Hustle 5K race results are now available online. The event was held on Saturday, October 1 in Downtown Algonquin.

Ganek Municipal Center Lower Parking Lot Construction
The lower parking lot at the Ganek Municipal Center (Police Department/Stonegate Road Entrance) will be reconstructed beginning on Monday, October 3. Visitors to the Ganek Municipal Center and the Police Department may park in the upper parking lot at (Harnish Drive Entrance) or on Stonegate Road during construction of the lot.

Village Construction Updates
Several construction projects will be starting this month including the Huntington Drive, Par Drive, and Countryside Drive. For more information see our construction page.

Village Offices Closed
The Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility in Algonquin will be closed on Monday October 10, in observance of Columbus Day. Groot refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection will not be effected.

Fall Hydrant Flushing Schedule
As a regular maintenance practice, the Village of Algonquin Utilities Division flushes all fire hydrants throughout the Village twice a year. Fall hydrant flushing is scheduled this year from September 19 to October 28. Click below for a detailed schedule.

Algonquin Community Survey 2016
We want to hear from you! on September 22 the Algonquin Community Survey was sent to 1,500 randomly selected households in the community. Residents are given 21 days to complete and return the survey.

Winter Parking Regulations
Winter parking regulations are in effect between October 31 and April 15 of each year.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade - Saturday, October 22
Don't miss out on the Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade! Registration closes on October 19.

Water/Sewer Rate Increase: November 2016
Effective November 2016 there will be an increase in water and sewer utility rates to fund the increased capital costs of $22.8 million over the next six Fiscal Years to provide safe and environmentally sound water and sewer services.

Village Code Reminders
As the leaves begin to fall, The Village of Algonquin would like to remind residents of Section 5.06 of the Municipal Code which prohibits anyone from raking leaves into any public street area.
