Corporate Campus imageThe Economic Development Commission (EDC) and the Village Board determined it would be necessary for the future success and stability of the Village to develop a corporate campus that would create employment opportunities and diversify the tax base. Randall Road provides an excellent transportation route for businesses and commuters, available land to develop, and a prime location for employees and employers. Gruen Gruen + Associates in conjunction with Teska Associates were hired to conduct a market analysis of the region for a proposed 1,000 acre business park in the Village of Algonquin. The report indicated the types of industries that might be attracted to the area, the absorption rate, a concept design, and a strategic development plan.

In 2001, O & S Development put 150 acres, out of the 1,000 acres, under contract and designed phase I of the business park. Village staff has worked closely with the developers, the EDC and the Planning and Zoning Commission to ensure the first phase of the Algonquin Corporate Campus is developed in a high quality fashion consistent with the strategic development plan.

Phase 1 consists of the Algonquin Commons Lifestyle Center, Canterbury Place residential development, Advantage Moving & Storage, and a series of industrial buildings, including the Rothbart Buildings.  See Rothbart Phase 1 and Rothbart Phase 2 on the property search for more information, as there are lease opportunities available.

Phase 2 consists of The Esplanade of Algonquin, a mixed-use development to include retail, restaurants, offices, condos and apartments.  Two office buildings and one retail service building are completed with lease opportunities available.  See the property search for more information on lease and sale opportunties.
 
Phase 3 has been approved by the Village to include several flexible lot sizes to accommodate a variety of users. Phase 3 is located west of Boyer Road.  Phase 3 is already home to Young Innovations and the multi-tenant Algonquin Corporate Condos building, with lease opportunities available.  For more information on lease and sale opportunities of land and building space within Phase 3, see the property search.
