The General Services Administration Department consists of the manager's office, human resources, finance, information technology, geographic information systems, and events and recreation. The Village Manager carries out the directives of the elected officials by overseeing and coordinating the entire professional staff of the Village. He is responsible for enforcement of the Village's municipal code, recommendation of policy alternatives to the Board, and preparation and implementation of the annual budget.
The human resources division manages the recruitment, hiring, retention, and general training for all employees. Human resources is also responsible for risk management. The finance division is responsible for collection and disbursement of all municipal funds. Information technology is coordinated through the Administration Department as we work to better serve residents with new technology. Events and recreation, a program that officially began in August 2002 and now offers a comprehensive listing of recreational opportunities, is also housed in the Administration Department. A recent addition to this department is Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which is a comprehensive and complex system that provides a mapping and maintenance tool for the entire Village.
